This May half term, families are invited on a journey through the cosmos as Jodrell Bank hosts an inspiring programme of intergalactic, interactive activities from Fri 24 May – Sun 2 Jun.

Jodrell’s brand-new science show, Curious Kids: Solar System Spectacular, takes young explorers on a thrilling odyssey across the Milky Way and beyond, complete with exciting experiments and interactive quizzes. Places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, so early arrival is advised.

The Space Pavilion will play host to indoor craft workshops, with little ones able to design their own rockets and paper windmills, while the venue’s roving Explainer team will be on site every day to answer any science questions big or small.

A new temporary exhibition will also be on display throughout the half term. Time is Running Out sheds light on the biggest questions climate scientists and engineers are trying to answer, showcasing innovative solutions and the ways the natural world is providing new ways of thinking about the future.

To keep you fuelled up during your visit, Jodrell’s two cafes will be serving up delicious treats which can be enjoyed beneath the iconic structure of the Lovell Telescope, a genuine beacon of scientific discovery.
