Seattle’s sunny hearted indie-pop stars, Minus the Bear, headline Manchester’s Gorilla this January. This tour is a 10th anniversary celebration of the band’s seminal album, Menos El Oso, which saw a change of pace from upbeat pop stylings, to a celebration of their extraordinary musical craftsmanship – with rich, complex and rewarding melodies at the heart of their new-found sound. Founded in 2001, the five piece created their cerebral pop sound in response to the grunge years their home town is most famous for and their second fully formed album, Menos el Oso came out in 2005. The 10-year anniversary edition is being released on Suicide Squeeze Records on 4 December, 2015. Just want your January needs.
