For their inaugural Limbo Live in the Loft session, the Limbo Radio team are bringing a host of Manchester’s finest creatives for a night of live music, art and design, as part of a new event series set to take place at Hidden Gallery. Situated directly above Hidden Club, the Hidden Gallery/Limbo Loft – the new home to the independent station who relaunched in September with an epic 24 hour broadcast – will host visual art installations and live music from the likes of Kahreign, Charlie Boy Manson and EVABEE next weekend (Saturday 30 November). There will also be visual art on display from Manchester homegrown talent like multiform artist Luke Passey, “environmental graphic designer” Grace Biddle, design guru Georgia Hardman, plus work from Alfie Hoole, and Kate Robinson. There is also going to be and there will be live embroidery by Millie Rose Textiles. More aritsts will be announced during the week, so stay locked.
Limbo’s Connor Cooper spoke about the new event series, “This series of events is something we’ve been wanting to do since we saw the space at Hidden, there’s so many people we meet through running the radio so it’s amazing for us to widen the platform for Manchester’s bubbling pool of talent.”
The event runs from 7pm-11pm and tickets start at just £3. The show will also be broadcast live from the Limbo Radio website. Limbo Radio relaunched in September 2019; their new broadcasting schedule sees them on air daily from 4pm – 10pm. The station has been championing an eclectic range of electronic music artists since 2016, giving local up-and-coming talent a platform to showcase their work, and a weekly visual artist takeover sees them incorporate the city’s diverse range of creatives into their programming.
