Back for 2022, Manchester Day returns to our streets for a celebration of togetherness and a dose of good old-fashioned fun.

On Sun 19 Jun, the Manchester day parade will weave its way through the city centre in a riot of colour, sound and spectacle.

This year’s parade will also feature a very special guest, to be announced next month.

The celebrations will also join up with Our Year, a 12-month festival for children and young people across the city.

The parade has been created by Manchester City Council in collaboration with youth and community groups across Manchester, along with renowned outdoor arts specialists, Walk the Plank.

There’ll also be special pop-up events happening across the city centre on the day, each celebrating all things Mancunian. Proceedings get underway at 11am and run through until 5pm. The parade kicks off at 1pm, on the corner of Liverpool Road and Deansgate.

From live entertainment and free family activities to youth markets and street food, we’ve little doubt there’ll be something for everyone this Manchester Day.
