Pub opening: The Stonemasons Arms in Timperley
Patrick Mayo, formerly of Gaucho, is heading up the kitchen at the newly refurbished Stonemason’s Arms in Timperly. From the team behind the revamp of The Dog and Partridge in Didsbury, Steve Pilling and Angus Cameron Pride are hoping to work their magic at The Stonemasons and create an elegant pub with a community feel. At first glimpses it looks great, all stylish monochrome and teal with loads of light. A far cry from your dingy local. The menu promises to be all-day dining but with a bit of swank – there’s even a wood fired pizza oven on site.
Now open, The Stonemasons Arms, 365 Stockport Rd, Timperley, Altrincham, WA15 7UR. Tel: 0161 980 3759, 10am – 10pm daily (food). www.stonemasons.pub

Owners Danny and Steph hope to emulate the intimate feel of a Japanese Ramen house, with just 20 seats, no bookings and the broth base as the star of the show.
