A Queer Revue at Band on the Wall
Manchester’s adventurous new LGBT performance ‘n’ party night returns with a Trans Takeover Special. Guest comperes Kate O’Donnell and Grace Oni Smith are the glamorous twosome introducing a night of performance, live music, disco dancing and surprise highjinx in the Northern Quarter. Kate recently won the LGBT Foundation’s Role Model of the Year award, while Grace Oni Smith has launched a successful trans style consultancy in the city. April also sees the launch of #TRANSMcr at the LGBT Foundation, a new monthly event by and for the city’s trans
community. As well as compering and performing, Kate and Grace will host some of their personal favourite artists to work the Band on the Wall stage, including Glasgow queer songstress Miss Annabel Sings and more tba. Dancefloor energy comes courtesy of Belfast Disco ‘n’ House goddess, DJ Venus Dupree, while in the bar you can get private poetry and tarot readings as you sip your Role Model cocktail…
