For those interested in a career in songwriting, there are few people better placed in the music industry to listen to than Martin Sutton (pictured). Having worked as a producer, session musician and songwriter for nearly 20 years, Sutton has collaborated with a diverse range of musicians including Celine Dion, Mike & The Mechanics and Pixie Lott. Currently he runs his own publishing company and recording company, after six years with Universal, and is the creator of Hoozik, a free social networking website for songwriters from over 20 countries across the world. He comes to Band on the Wall for a two-day intensive tutorial event to offer industry advice as well as help with song forms and lyric writing, culminating in a special Sunday Sessions acoustic open mic night to show what you’ve learned and honed in a supportive and friendly environment.
