Featuring hands-on activities, creative challenges and live demonstrations, the Science and Industry Museum invites visitors on a journey of digital discovery with their free half-term holiday programme.

Parents and children alike can learn about modern programming with BeeBots, play with CHiP the robot dog and imagine their own bionic best friend before building them out of blocks.

There will also be a series of ‘Get Curious’ events with different professionals and experts popping up with fun activities and demonstrations throughout the week. From a dynamic drone display and Lego Rovers to creative coding and the science of sound, find the full schedule here.

Families are also invited to journey through Manchester’s rich legacy of industrial innovations and see science in action in the museum’s free permanent galleries, plus, add a ticket to enjoy five decades of gaming with the Power UP exhibition.

From Thu 25 May, the Science and Industry Museum’s captivating new display, Stephen Hawking at Work, celebrates the extraordinary life of the world-renowned theoretical physicist through an array of fascinating objects from his office, including his PhD thesis, a jacket gifted to him by the creators of The Simpsons and a unique pair of spectacles, specially adapted to aid communication.
