Returning to Contact for a second year, eight-freestyle’s production of Robin Hood runs from Sat 10 Dec to New Year’s Eve with a classic tale of ‘courage, friendship and bad puns’ set to the uniquely joyous sounds of upbeat 80s pop. With a cast ranging from skilled newcomers to UK theatre veterans, the show features an array of astonishing dramatic talent.

With credits including Rob Johnston’s KAFKAESQUE, Reverend Johnson in the UK premiere of SWEET HOME, King Rat in Contact’s DICK WHITTINGTON and Abanazer in ALADDIN, Adam Urey returns to the company as a seasoned and enthusiastic villain to play the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Having recently completed his training at the London College of Music, prodigious actor and musician plays Gilbert the Goth following performances in OLIVER and CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG at the Stockport Plaza.

A graduate of the Northern Ballet School, Courtney Leigh stars as Little J following an acclaimed dance performance in Contact’s DICK WHITTINGTON. As a professional dancer, Courtney has recently worked with Imagine FM as well as accompanying the The Wanted, Union J, Collabro and Jake Quickenden as a dancer on their recent tours.

An ‘internationally acclaimed oven glove supermodel and former Duchess of Argyll’, ‘marvellously wicked’ Jonathan Mayor has enjoyed cult success over twenty years as both a comic and performer, having hosted numerous Europride shows and appearing most recently in ALADDIN at Preston Guildhall.

Starring as the Fairy of the Forest, Assistant Director Kate Mitchell returns to panto alongside her work in Production Management and Tour Management.

A new face for Eight-Freestyle, talented passionate musician Michael Higgwe stars as Robin Hood following onscreen credits with Odd Jobs (Mahesh Madhu), INNERCIRCLE 50 First Dates (Tom Stevens) and online campaigns for Premier Inn, Kenwood Appliances and Lloyds TSB.

After a spell as a vocalist, dancer and Entertainment Team Leader for Tui Blue Sensatori in the Dominican Republic, 2020 Arden School of Theatre graduate Rebecca Cookson plays Maid Marian having starred in Contact’s DICK WHITTINGTON, Boxtree’s ALICE IN WONDERLAND and more.

Described by Chortle as ‘a rock solid act’, comedian Red Redmond plays Alan A’dale having performed tour support with Live at the Apollo, hosted stages at Manchester Pride and more.

A cornerstone of Eight-Freestyle pantomimes since the very beginning, fun-loving showbiz connoisseur Stephen Jackson stars as Friar Tuck with credits including appearing as a sales advisor on a Currys TV advert.
