We’re well and truly spoiled for choice when it comes to vegan treats here in Manchester. As if the city’s many free-from restaurants and brunch options weren’t good enough – two of the best food purveyors around have teamed up to create a six-course vegan tasting menu that’s guaranteed to close out your Veganuary in style. This exciting new collaboration sees Indian and Pakistani Tea Bar Zouk join forces with Hatch’s street-food faves Herbivorous to host an evening of plant-based culinary greatness, featuring six innovative dishes all for the bargain price of just £25pp.
To start, they’ll ease you into the evening with a plate of delicious Jackfruit Pakoras, featuring fresh vegetables deep fried in a spiced flour. The Indo-Chinese Black Pepper ‘Chicken’, broccoli and potato-infused Gobi Tikki and aromatic Goan ‘Fish’ Curry will swiftly follow, each made with flavoursome meat alternatives. To finish, the duo aim to wow attendees with their vegan ‘chicken’ Jalfrezi and chocolate and cardamom pots, loaded with smooth chocolate ganache and crunchy biscuit – ending things on a rich, sugary high. Read the full menu below and bag your tickets while you can – this one’s bound to sell out fast.
