Tijuana two-piece Mint Field have announced a show at Salford’s Eagle Inn to mark their debut LP, Pasar De Las Luces. Setting the scene with twinkling melodies, the pair are not averse to unleashing heavier doses of sonic expression, evoking shoegazing of psychedelic distortions synonymous with the likes of Yo La Tengo and more recently Cigarettes After Sex. An extensive touring programme around the US, wowing festivals like Coachella and SXSW along the way, has gained them kudos via trendsetters from Vice’s Noisey to The Line of Best Fit, so now is the time to check them out, before tickets become gold-dust.

Wed 28 Feb, The Eagle Inn, 18-19 Collier Street, Salford, M3 7DW, Tel: 0161 819 5002, 8pm, £7-£9, www.bandonthewall.org
