Mr Scruff returns to Manchester’s Band on the Wall on Sat 14th Jun – celebrating his 15 year residency at the landmark venue. Famed for his marathon 6-hour sets, nobody can doubt his value for money and an ability to keep a progressive structure in what always proves to be an eclectic mix of sounds incorporating everything from hip hop and reggae to jazz and plenty of Latin tones. As always, accompanied by an impressive yet simplistic visual display and copious amounts of tea, fans will be intrigued to see what Mr Scruff brings to the table with his latest live offering which will no doubt feature tracks from his forthcoming album Friendly Bacteria, which is set to be released on May 19.

14 June, Band on the Wall 25 Swan Street, Manchester, M4 5JZ, 10pm – late, Tel: 0161 834 1786, £12 www.bandonthewall.org
