With the government giving the green light for non-essential shops to reopen as the next stage of lockdown is lifted, brand new barber shop The Butchers Chop Shop has officially opened its doors in The Royal Exchange Arcade, offering both kid cuts and close shaves.

Owned by entrepreneur Matt Bambroffe and his business partner Steve Ward – a duo who have over 15 years of experience in the barbering industry between them – this new space follows the pair’s debut venue Jersey Street Social Club, which opened in Ancoats back in 2017. After finding success across town, they were spurred on to launch this new venture, taking possession of the previously vacant Unit 8 at The Royal Exchange Arcade.

Open 9am to 7pm Monday to Sunday starting from Monday 12 April, The Butchers Chop Shop will be offering a wide variety of cuts, as well as services for pre-wedding groups where people can enjoy a shave and complimentary drinks before hitting the tiles. The first 100 customers through the door will receive free branded merchandise, and the team are currently running a competition to win an exclusive pink card which will give one lucky customer free haircuts for five years. To book an appointment, simply download their new app.
