You might not have noticed it, but there’s been a black market that has sprung up of late – eBay sellers trying to bump up the price on coats by claiming they’re unworn and bought from Oi Polloi. The Northern Quarter landmark has become a style all of it’s own, a class and effortless distinction that simple eBay knock-offs can’t match. It’s this inimitability they bring to their Pica Sounds DJ sets – after starting as an occasional ramble, Kosmonaut have tied them down to make it a monthly expedition into the unknown. Now resident, the soundtrack will be disco, psych, cosmic, and techno, with other entertainment provided by a BBQ (weather permitting), ping-pong and a Pica-Snaps competition for the best photo of the night (hashtag it #picasounds on instagram, then sit back and wait for your £100 Oi Polloi voucher). DJs Katy Bee and Richie Pitch will be your guides for the evening.
