Cornerhouse is calling upon nightclubbers past, captured on camera over thirty years ago, to come forward for their upcoming David Chadwick exhibition. Featuring a series of Chadwick’s rarely seen images of Manchester nightspots in the late 70s and early 80s, the gallery will launch the We Were All Here, Once exhibition in October, displaying the unique photographs together in public for the first time. In light of the exhibition, Cornerhouse is asking for nightclubbers captured in the images to get in contact, either by emailing press@cornerhouse.org, phoning 0161 200 1529 or by tweeting @CornerhouseMcr by Friday 30 August, in order to re-connect the young people captured in the images. Revisiting the likes of Legends, The Sandpiper and Friday’s, images include Girl in a Discotheque (pictured) from Chadwick’s Looking for Love series and capture the essence of Manchester’s former sub-cultures as they took over disused warehouses, clubs and invented their own style.

Exhibition runs Thu 3 Oct – Tue 5 Nov, Cornerhouse, 70 Oxford Street, M1 5NH, Tel: 0161 200 1529, Tue – Sat 12pm – 8pm, Sun 12pm – 6pm, FREE, www.cornerhouse.org
