As the genius behind iconic albums like Smokers Delight, Carboot Soul, Mind Elevation and In a Space Outta Mind, Nightmares on Wax melts many a heart with his seamless fusion of hip hop, funk, dub and experimental electronica. The result is one that channels a uniquely down-tempo yet arousingly trippy sound, and one that translates incredibly well when absorbed live. The Leeds-born producer and DJ last visited us back in October, but now he returns for a special, if not illusive, set at a 500-capacity secret location in the city. Presented by Not So Secret Warehouse, support comes from locals Stuart Richards and Kevin Swindells, plus Lewi Scandal and Transmission Funk MCR residents, all of whom should no doubt carry the crowd in more than safe hands – without upstaging the big guy himself, of course.
