More than anywhere else in the region, it seems that New Mills knows how to celebrate summer. Following on from a wildly successful parade the other weekend, they’ve now confirmed that the One World Music Festival will be returning once again for another year in High Lea Park. New Mills premier open air festival since it launched way back in 1990, this year’s edition should have live music throughout the day, around 38 different One World stalls to visit and specially curated food and drinks – with a beer tent to keep you properly refreshed, too. For the kids, there will be face-painting, along with samba and dance bands to keep the rhythm up – all in weather conditions promising to be around 20°C – and, even better, you can get to it on the now customary New Mills Music Train
Sat 6 Jul, High Lea Park, New Mills, 6pm – midnight, Free entry, http://www.oneworldfestival.org/
