Following on from the recent news that Wahaca, the Mexican street food outlet, looks set to open in the Corn Exchange, a host of other restaurants have been announced for the Grade II-listed building. Currently undergoing a £30m refurbishment, the Corn Exchange will also welcome Vietnamese street food seller Pho, Cabana Brasilian Barbecue, Italian restaurant Vapiano and a second Manchester restaurant for Byron Burgers. The list of openings is completed with the additions of The Cosy Club, Bar and Kitchen Banyan, Electric Grill – plus Salvi’s Deli, Tampopo, Pizza Express and Zizzi, which previously occupied units in the Corn Exchange. The restaurants – plus an 86-room boutique hotel – are scheduled to open next July, once renovation work has been completed.
