Manchester Museum may be closed due to the lockdown but the museum is open online, with a wealth of digital resources, virtual exhibitions, and learning resources – and even some live events. This Friday at 1pm, if you tune in on Periscope @mcrmuseum, you can experience their renowned Vivarium right from your own home, at the launch of Frog Friday. Frog Friday aims to educate and raise awareness of the reptiles and amphibians housed in the vivarium, and the conservation efforts the museum makes. Streaming live from inside the vivarium itself, you’ll be able to see some of the amphibians the museum cares for, as well as ask anything you’ve ever wondered about frogs. One of Manchester Museum’s most notable programmes is the captive breeding of some of Costa Rica’s most critically endangered frogs – find out more about this and many other frog facts and stay engaged with one of Manchester’s educational cornerstones at this difficult time. Head here to tune in.
