Experimental ale: Project R at Port Street Beer House

Hop merchants Charles Faram & Co join forces with Roosters Brewery to create several one-off beers that will be tasted by the lucky few that get tickets to Port Street’s event. Having gotten their hands on some experimental hops from Slovenia and a unique selection of their own hops, they approached Roosters with a means to creating beers with an emphasis on the flavours and aromas of the individual samples. Brewers were not told the name of the hops so had to go on sense alone. Five exclusive beers will be tasted, with the brewers as curious as the punters – and feedback is a must, as they need to know whether or not to grow these hops again. Hopefully not a once in a lifetime opportunity, as that will mean they don’t taste great, but at least you’ll be able to say you got their first.
