RHS Bridgewater will host a weekend-long celebration of women in horticulture to celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day.

Running across Sat 9 – Sun 10 Mar, RHS will host a series of talks, tours and Q&As with women working across the horticulture industry.

The packed programme of events and guest speakers will be hosted by RHS Director of Learning and Public Engagement, Dr Suzanne Moss, who holds a PhD in Garden history and in 2021 was named as one of Horticulture Week’s 100 leading women in horticulture.

Over the course of two days, RHS will cover an array of inspiring stories, from the radical lives of the earliest female gardeners to how you can transform your gardening hobby into a career.

Other topics include urban foraging, herbal remedies and the story of Yaz, a local ginnel gardening champion, who alongside her neighbours has helped to transform their alleyway in Moss Side.

RHS’s International Women’s Day celebrations will take place in the garden, meaning you’ll need to book a timeslot prior to your visit. For more information, and to book your spot, click the button below.
