Stockport is due to get a brand new rooftop garden from Great British Menu star and Where The Light Gets In head chef Sam Buckley, featuring a wood-fired bread oven, a greenhouse garden, barbecue and coal smoker. Due to open on Saturday 18 July, The Landing will take up residence atop the Merseyway precinct, offering an airy and socially distanced space that will cater for around 50 visitors and also feature a central table that will seat approximately 12 people. Herbs and vegetables will be grown on site via a living greenhouse and music will come via local record shop SK1 Records, with a programme of guest speakers, creative workshops and kitchen takeovers from the likes of Eddie Shepherd of Whalley Range’s The Walled Gardens also planned. Hungry customers can expect to find hotdogs, natural wines and locally sourced beers at this vibrant and green space in the midst of Stockport’s bustling centre.
