Feeling crafty? Sadler’s Yard Summer Jam is a celebration of DIY culture, inviting creatives to get hands-on and make a range of products. You could make a stool, a dish, a pizza, booze, art or even music. You could grow food, fix things, protest, or none of the above – anything goes at this day-long takeover taking place on Sat Aug 10. This Summer Jam is the ultimate celebration of originality, uniqueness, authenticity and creativity, and is also the perfect place for DIY newbies to learn a new skill. The full programme is yet to be announced but what we do know is that it will cater for those who wish to learn as well as experienced DIY-ers. It’ll also tell you how to begin and kickstart a new project, how to self-publish your own work and how to throw a party, so it pretty much covers everything you need to know. This free takeover will be hosted by NOMA at Sadler’s Yard on Hanover Street and aims to inspire a sense of community-building (both literally and figuratively) while providing a welcoming space for flourishing creative individuals. Registration is free and can be completed here.
