San Carlo Cicchetti has unveiled its new winter menu, featuring fresh seasonal ingredients, with many sourced directly from Milan. Based in House of Fraser on Deansgate, the restaurant now offers 10 new dishes including pigeon breast paté with black truffle and toasted Altamura bread, salmon and beetroot Carpaccio with pistachio pesto, and slow roasted pork belly with winter spices, potato and cabbage. Cicchetti’s winter specials, meanwhile, include venison with pearl barley, onion and Parmesan (pictured), plus pumpkin & truffle risotto, and cheese and truffle dumplings served in a chicken broth. The ‘all-day dining concept’ is San Carlo’s interpretation of the Venetian culinary custom of cicchetti – offering small plate dishes designed to share or eat alone. Cicchetti also has restaurants in London and Bangkok.
