After a three year break, Japanese alt-punk three piece Shonen Knife are back. Championed by Nirvana, Sonic Youth and more, the band once dubbed the Osaka Ramones bring their acclaimed pin-sharp set of pop punk songs from their latest (and 18th!) release, Pop Tune. Over the last 31 years Shonen Knife have amassed a cult following across the world and maintain their rightful place as one of indie rock’s treasures. With support from Lancastrians The Lovely Eggs whose sold out singles have received airplay on Radio One from Steve Lamacq, Marc Riley and Huw Stephens, this is a special double bill.
