Gorilla is Manchester’s coolest simian-named nightspot (easily beating Ape & Apple and The Old Monkey), and it’s about to get a whole lot cooler. The Sugarhill Gang are bringing their oldest-of-old-school hip-hop to the venue on Thursday 17 July. The group is most famous for 1979’s Rapper’s Delight, the first (and surely the friendliest) hit rap song. Now they’re back and touring – and we have a pair of tickets for the concert at Gorilla to give away. To be in with a chance of winning, send an email to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with ‘Sugarhill competition‘ in the subject line. Please include your name, age, Twitter handle and the answer to the question below. The competition closes at midnight on Tuesday 15 July, and we’ll announce the winner on Wednesday.
