The former Sevenoaks hifi shop on High Street in the Northern Quarter has been converted into The Blue Pig. The new bar and restaurant incorporates original features of the site, previously a bank, including mahogany and walnut panelling, as well as salvaged Parisian-style art deco lift doors. Besides a sizeable drinks menu, The Blue Pig offers a casual French-inspired food menu with numerous deli items such as lamb liver and candied beetroot terrine, herring pickled in blueberry vinegar and several breads baked on site, plus five sharing boards, and a seasonal, weekly ‘333 Menu’ – offering a choice of three starters, three mains and three puddings. The Blue Pig is the new venture from Cleo Farman, formerly behind the bar trio of Odd, Odder and Oddest.
