This Sun 11 Feb, the Science and Industry Museum welcomes Dr Xand Van Tulleken, one of the presenters of hit BBC Children’s show, Operation Ouch!.

Not only will he meet visitors in the museum’s world-premiere exhibition, Operation Ouch! Food, Poo and You, he’ll be on a myth-busting mission to answer some of the public’s burning questions about digestion.

Dr Xand has kindly leant his digestive system to host the immersive adventure, allowing visitors to be shrunk, swallowed and squeezed through it during a lively, interactive and playful adventure to better understand our bodies.

From 1pm – 1.20pm and again at 4.30pm – 4.50pm, all visitors in the museum will have the opportunity to see Xand in action as he takes to the stage in the Revolution Manchester Gallery.

Since the exhibition debuted back in July 2023, almost 57,000 people have visited, leaving behind their most probing poo-related wonderings. These will now be put directly to Dr Xand in front of a live audience, who will also be invited to voice any more curiosities they may have on the day.
