Each weekend, from March until December, you’ll find vintage stores, retro ceramics, extraordinary food and much more at Levy Market, behind Levenshulme train station. There’s always been a family bias to the proceedings, but at Saturday’s market (23 May), there’s even more for young and old to enjoy than usual. Families can head down anytime during the day, but from noon until 2pm there will be a fun, totally-free gardening session aimed at the market’s younger visitors. The Levy Market team will be showing kids how to decorate pots and plant them with climbing beans, all set for summer. As ever, the market is a great day out for all ages – and even more so this weekend. Previous family-focused activities have included free face painting and live music, so keep an eye on this space for more coming up over the next few months. The market includes everything from hand made gifts and homewares, to the region’s finest street food purveyors.
