Three Manchester cocktail bars named in the UK’s top 50

Three Manchester cocktail bars have been celebrated in this year’s Franklin & Sons Top 50 Cocktail list.

The list is compiled using votes from key hospitality figures from across the UK, including heads of leading businesses, influencers and drinks writers.

Unsurprisingly, Schofield’s secured their spot, coming in at number four in the overall rankings. It’s the latest in a long line of accolades for the team, who just a few months back were named one of the Top 100 Bars in the World.

Also flying the flag for Manchester are Speak in Code, who feature at number eight, and Blinker, at number 41.

There was also an honourable mention for Project Halcyon, the recent opening from the team behind Zymurgorium Gin, as the up-and-coming bar to watch out for. The ‘hidden’ speakeasy relaunched back in October, and can be found within the Old Granda Studios’ Department Bonded Warehouse.
