Top 5: Valentine’s Day events ft. TOY at Yes, movies at Mayfield and more

Whether you like it or not, Valentine’s Day is a-coming and with all the loveheart paraphernalia dotted around the city we thought we’d give you a top five of some of the better things to do with your February 14th.

1. A taste of the Catalans at Lunya

3. Free Vibes at Band on the Wall

4. TOY at Yes
If you can’t quite make it on the ‘special night’, take your significant other out on the Friday for what should prove to be one of the gigs of the year so far with TOY coming to Yes for the night. An atmospheric capturing of a state of mind that touches on Post Punk, electronic dissonance, acid folk and Krautrock just screams romance.

5. Movie experience at Mayfield Depot
Mayfield Depot present a series of immersive film events with professional dancers showing up for Dirty Dancing and a Beauty and the Beast singalong. There’ll be a live choir and a twinkling snowy forest setting the romantic scene, with cocktails and food stalls serving up treats. Other films on offer over the long weekend include Titanic, Notting Hill and Pretty Woman.
