Viet Shack now open at Kao Tao bar in Fallowfield

Acclaimed street food vendor Viet Shack has launched a second full-time outlet at Koh Tao bar in Fallowfield. You may know of Viet Shack from the Arndale Centre’s food market, and it has also recently been a staple of local street food events, appearing at both Friday Food Fight and Up in Your Grill. The new venue Koh Tao is a self-styled dive bar with a Thai-beach theme, which opened in September. The ‘Shack’s menu seemingly has the local student population in mind, as it’s split into two sections: ‘When you’re broke’ and ‘When you’re rich’. Specialities include King Prawn Summer Rolls and Chicken ‘n’ Mango Salad (broke), alongside Lemongrass Chicken Burger and Spicy Tomato Pulled Pork Stew (rich).
