In our final visit to Hong Kong for this series, we’re rounding up all the best attractions of one of the world’s most vibrant destination. We’ll start with art, and the vacant factory floors of the Wong Chuck Hang district, which have provided fertile ground for large installations at the likes of Spring Workshop, Art Statements and Blindspot Gallery. In food and drink, make sure you sample the city’s huge street food scene. The stalls, called ‘Dai Pai Dongs’, are lined up along Graham Street in the Central district during the day, and Temple Street’s Night Market in Yau Ma Tei in the evening. With a full belly after dark, you’ll need some entertainment to digest. One of the city’s delicacies is its theatre shows – you can start planning now for next year’s Hong Kong Arts Festival, which will feature renowned productions from across the globe. Elsewhere in the city, there are plenty of musicians performing throughout the year. Check out Clockenflap festival, which hosts some of the biggest global artists alongside local bands. For a quieter evening, but no less enjoyable, set sail aboard the Aqua Luna (pictured). The traditional red-sail Chinese junk boat (pictured) offers 45-minute-long harbour cruises with drinks. Into the new day, take a trip further afield. Among our tips is the famous Dragon’s Back hike, named the ‘Best Urban Hiking Trail in Asia’ by TIME readers. Or seek out Hong Kong’s traditional Dragon Boat Carnival to witness 5,000 competitors challenging for the 40-year-old crown. But don’t just take our word for it – see for yourself. All these and plenty more can be found in Hong Kong, where you can fly non-stop from Manchester with Cathay Pacific four times a week, with return fares starting from £649 in economy, £1,249 in Premium Economy and £3,339 in business class.
