The first day of advent brings with it a great treat for a cold Sunday evening in Manchester as the vital and visceral Vuvuvultures perform at Band on the Wall. Supporting the release of debut album Push/Pull, the London four-piece arrive peddle a unique blend of gothic intensity and pop sensibilities that seem to contradict each other while anchored by lead singer Harmony’s captivating and distinctive vocals. In support will be BBC Introducing favourites Slaves. The two-piece from Kent providing a garage rock opening before the swirls of Vuvuvultures soaring synths take over for the night.
