Following the news that My Bloody Valentine are to release a new album this month, a three date UK tour has been announced for Glasgow, Manchester and London. Whether the album will actually materialise this side of 2013 is anyone’s guess – fans have waited 21 years for this follow up to Loveless and, according to frontman Kevin Shields, what can they expect from it? For it to be “differentish and sameish”. Returning to Manchester’s Apollo, where last time free ear plugs were distributed to the audience, you can be sure to expect a night of sonic perfection. The masters of the reverb, who redefined alt-rock, will bring their whirlwind of noise to the city in March next year. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 7 Dec.
