After a fantastic year for Mancunian music, FutureEverything festival returns 21-24 March 2013 with a music programme celebrating some of the most exciting sounds from the city and beyond. Two of the heroes of 2012 return, with the enigmatic Holy Other bringing his ethereal and suitably futurist R&B sound to the festival yet again, sharing a lineup with the lauded Altar Of Plagues frontman turned electronic experimentalist WIFE. With his Luxury Problems album featuring towards the top of every end of year chart going, the mercurial Andy Stott also makes a welcome return. Support comes from Lee Gamble, whose Diversions 1994-1996 12-inch on the feted PAN label is a superlative ambient rework of his old Jungle projects. They’re joined by Rashad Becker, mastering engineer at the world famous Dubplates & Mastering studio in Berlin.

Holy Other + WIFE, Thu 21 Mar, 8pm – late, £9.50; Lee Gamble, Andy Stott (live), Rashad Becker, Fri 22 Mar, 9pm – late, SOLD OUT, both Islington Mill, James Street, Salford, M3 5HW, futureeverything.org (click on ‘Tickets’).
