Billed as one of Manchester’s most indulgent culinary experiences, Zouk Tea Bar & Grill has recently launched a selection of brand new Breakfast and Brunch Sharing Platters featuring all the best-loved dishes from their wildly popular brunch menu. We went down to Manchester’s opulent Indian bistro to try out the lavish new morning specials.

Available from 8am-3pm every Monday to Saturday and 8am-12pm on Sundays, each brunch platter offers a sumptuous blend of authentic Indian-inspired dishes and timeless English breakfast fare, alongside the occasional continental flourish across savoury, sweet and mixed options.

We opted for the colossal Savoury Platter for 2, a meticulously crafted board spread elegantly with generous helpings of every breakfast item imaginable: 8 Chicken Sausages, 4 Hash Browns, 4 Fried Eggs, a heap of Crispy Turkey Bacon, a pot of exquisitely seasoned Sautéed Mushrooms, 4 Grilled Tomatoes, a dish of Baked Beans, Spinach and Spicy Anda Bhurji – a beloved Indian street food staple which elevates scrambled eggs with a mix of sautéed onions, tomato, chillies and a heady compound of aromatics – with near-bottomless boats of rich chicken gravy and irresistibly creamy Hollandaise sauce on the side.

For those who prefer to start their day with an unapologetically extravagant sugar rush, Zouk’s Sweet Brunch Sharing Platter offers a sprawling array of Euro-American classics, from Pancakes, Waffles and French Toast and Pastries drenched in chocolate sauce to Granola, Maple Syrup, Fresh Cream and a helping of vibrant fresh fruit.

If you can’t decide between the two, Zouk covers all bases with a Mixed Platter which unites the best of both worlds, with more Pancakes, Waffles, Chocolate Sauce and Maple Syrup served alongside Crispy Turkey Rashers, Chicken Sausages, Hash Browns, Fried Eggs, Spicy Anda Bhurji and Sautéed Spinach, as well as another customary jug of Hollandaise.

Each platter between 2 is available for just £25, while a sharing platter between 4 costs just £45 with double portions of every item.
