From post-work book clubs to a cracking programme of free events at this year’s Manchester Jazz Festival, there are plenty of goings on around the city that won’t cost you a penny this week.
Head to Piccadilly Central this Friday night to catch a full evening of grooves featuring Get Luce back, who will be on opening duties.
The venue will also be welcoming Yadava, a founding member of the long-running ‘So Flute’ gang, for their SWAY debut.
Manchester jazz festival is back for its 31st edition, with festivities kicking off this week. mjf will be continuing its pledge to present the very best contemporary, genre-fusing jazz from across the North with a bunch of free events scattered throughout the jam-packed programme.
The ever-buzzing CUPRA FM will be at St Ann’s Square, celebrating its 30th instalment with a very special show featuring D&B heavyweights POLA & BRYSON, Salford-chanteuse SALO, who’ll be performing live with her band, plus local legend STRATEGY.
One of Manchester’s most respected crews is set to return to Freight Island this weekend, bringing East Coast US club royalty with them.
Todd Edwards, a true pioneer whose influence on garage runs deep, will be leading the way with Jeremy Sylvester, DJ Pooch, LARISHKA, Quinlan and Rich Reason joining the bill.
