Thu 27 Mar | Thumbs Up | Soup Kitchen
Nice Thursday evening vibes to get you warmed up for the weekend, all-round tru head and Ruf Kutz label don Ruf Dug takes over upstairs for what has been promised to be ‘an extra woozy edition.’ There’s no entry fee and food’s served throughout the evening.
Fri 28 Mar | Coded Rhythm ft L-Vis 1990 | Roadhouse
After Bok Bok’s appearance at Chow Down earlier in the month, this time it’s the turn of Night Slug’s other bossman L-Vis. Coded Rhythm have jumped around a lot venue-wise recently, but The Roadhouse is definitely my favourite of the bunch and there aren’t many better party DJs than L-Vis.

Fri 28 Mar | Faktion Special Mika Vainio (pictured) + Source Direct | Islington Mill
As part of the FutureEverything festival, Faktion bring a super-heavyweight lineup, headlined by Finnish techno powerhouse Mika Vainio. However, it’s the appearance of 90s jungle/drum’n’bass legends Source Direct that is most notable – one for aficionados and ravers alike.

Sat 29 Mar | The Lox | Manchester Academy
I definitely didn’t see this coming, but after an increase in activity over the last few years, Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss perform in Manchester as The Lox. One of my favourite groups from one of my favourite periods in HipHop, it’s pricey, but I can’t see many more opportunities to see the three perform together any time soon.

Sat 29 Mar | Hoya:Hoya presents: Artwork | Roadhouse
Abandoning the secret guest formula, Hoya’s first announced headliner in a while is a biggy. So much more than a third of Magnetic Man and Daniel Beddingfield producer, Artwork has had a massive influence on UK dance music for years and years. Hoya have invited him down to play a special Big Apple Records-era garage set and I cannot wait. Plus support from Jon K, Jonny Dub, Chunk and Fox.
