Manc superstars, Elbow, return to Manchester to play a series of gigs at the Apollo. To celebrate their homecoming, The Roadhouse is hosting a run of aftershow parties, each with its own distinctive feel. After the band’s first show (Thu 5 Feb), Phil Beckett (Bop Local) brings his trademark rock ’n’ roll tunes to the Roadhouse dance floor, showing that it is entirely possible to throw a few shapes after the age of 40. The next evening, Manc legends, Chips With Everything step up to the decks (Fri 6 Feb). These guys are no strangers to the local club scene, laying down psychedelic mixes that always keep you guessing. DJ’s Manngaze and LA77 host. Get A Grip is Saturday’s feature (7 Feb) and is lead by Smile indie club veteran, DJ Andy Woods. The four-day homage comes to a close with the aptly named Loaded hip-hop and rock party hosted by Stan Chow and Michael J Fox (Sun 8 Feb). You can expect Elbow in the house most nights.
