Love vinyl? Look no further than Oddest this Bank Holiday weekend, as the team send Chorlton to sonic heaven. Live bands will be tapping into the bar’s rock’n’roll side on Saturday and over the whole weekend, expect nothing but the most inspired DJs, including a bumper bring-your-own-vinyl party on Monday. The events are part of the Chorlton Weekender and on Saturday (23 May) Imagine That (pictured) presents a music-filled all-dayer. Live music kicks off from 2pm and the line up includes The Shaded Arrows, Bones, Ry Curtis, The Scarletts – and many more. After the live music ends around 8pm, Oddest favourite, DJ Dod will be playing Soul/Motown/60s/Rock ‘n’ Roll. Sunday, meanwhile, sees Matt Ettle of the Electric Vinyl Soul Club hosting a soul party in the bar from 8pm. On Monday (25 May, 3-9pm) Oddest’s bi-weekly Vinyl Appreciation Night returns for with tunes you knew but forgot, old gems and new favourites, guilty pleasures and classics. Fancy playing? Just bring your own vinyl on the day.
