Food, drink & family fun: Bank Holiday night market at Levy Market

This Friday (28 Aug), Levenshulme Market is hosting a special night market to welcome the weekend with a banquet supplied by the area’s finest foodie stalls. For starters, from 4pm to 6pm you can bring the kids for a family-friendly party, where the PepperPop Parties team are giving away a hatful of prizes among their activities and games. Welcoming in the post-work crowd from 6pm to 9pm, there’ll be music all evening to enjoy while nibbling on your choice of nosh across a delectable smorgasbord. An internationally-inspired line-up of eateries will serve up all sorts, from Indonesian satay and beef rendang to New York buffalo wings, from British pies to Burmese curries, then ice cream cupcakes and hot doughnut for dessert. Look out or the exotic gourmet burgers if you’d like to try zebra, ostrich or wild boar. To wash your choice of food down, take a swig of some of the craft beer, real ale or specially selected wine courtesy of the market’s house bar by Those Four. Delicious. NB: There’s no market on Saturday 29 August, but things return to normal with the usual market the following Saturday (5 Sep), from 10am-4pm, which then runs weekly until December 2015.
