This week sees the last weekend of summer, and while the weather may have been making hints towards autumn before the sun even showed its face, it’s a good excuse to get out and about with these freebies across Greater Manchester.

Throughout the afternoon you’ll find performances from The Indian Temple Drummers, Oldham Community Pop Choir, Oldham Symphony Orchestra, Sacred Sounds Choir, Oldham Theatre Workshop, Acoustic duo Ellis and I and The Traditional Afghan Band.

The Oast House Vintage Fete (pictured)
Join The Oast House for a special vintage fete, which will see the area packed out with vintage stalls selling clothes, accessories and paraphernalia of yesteryear. There will also be lawn games and live music, making it a family-friendly day of good, old-fashioned fun. And whilst you’re in the area, don’t forget to check out Spinningfields’ nearby monthly market (19 – 20 Sep, 11am – 5pm), with award-winning local food, drink, art and craft producers and artisans, plus live music, performances, cookery demonstrations and activities for children.
