A band from America having anything affiliated with Russia might be risky business with the current political climate, but Chicago three-piece instrumentalists Russian Circles’ own brand of heavy post-rock dynamics could hardly mark them out as a Putin sleeper cell. With sixth album ‘Guidance’ receiving glowing reviews and cementing them as one of the most inventive and tight three person set ups in the progressive rock field. In an uncertain world, Russian Circles make sense of the swirling vortex around us with well placed noise and depth of expression.
