Club night: C.I.T.S. #2 ft. Endgame (Hyperdub) + LOFT at Texture Mcr

The second bi-monthly club night from the excellently named Castles In The Sky crew brings ENDGAMƎ and LOFT to the city, pushing experimental sounds forward in the spirit of fellow promoters such as This City Is Ours. The former produces densely packed sounds from a post-grime smorgasbord but fiercely blazes a trail all of his own. His debut EP Endgame came out on Portuguese label Golden Mist in 2015, followed by Savage on NY’s Purple Tape Pedigree in 2016. That saw him join the esteemed Hyperdub family and drop his latest EP, Flesh, as pioneering as anything that label has put out before. LOFT is a recent addition to Los Angeles’ Astral Plane Recordings family, and debuts his live set to a Manchester audience. Drum machines, synth work and ‘hallucinogenic’ sound design combined to create the Turbulent Dynamics EP – expect deconstruction of soundscapes and beautifully whacked-out drum workouts. Hesska fulfils resident duties – check her hosting the CITS show on NTS radio’s Manchester channel the first Saturday of each month to further explore their sound.
