US jazz pianist Frank McComb will play at Band on the Wall this June as one of only two UK shows this summer. Since cutting his teeth in the jazz night clubs of Cleveland, Ohio, McComb has spent the best part of 30 years wowing audiences around the globe, whether as a sought-after session musician or leading his own band. During that time, he caught the attentions of labels like Motown and Columbia, and has collaborated with a diverse roster of music makers, from Prince to DJ Jazzy Jeff. Unrelentingly funky and endowed with an ear for a blazing groove, McComb’s latest LP is the smooth soul of last year’s SoulMate: Another Love Story.
