Much loved London big band Hackney Colliery Band are set to peddle more uptempo grooves at the Manchester jazz venue. Famed for their instrumental reworkings of the nation’s favourite pop hits (such as this Toto banger), the nine-piece outfit are also looking to reinvent the brass band sound with new LP ‘Sharpener’. More than able support comes from local five piece funk outfit Ink and DJ Giles B from Dub Conductor Soundsystem.
