MOBO-winning reggae artist Alborosie brings his Living Dread tour to Manchester’s Mint Lounge. The Sicilian Jamaican multi-instrumentalist will join Kingston’s Shengen Clan band for a night of essential riddims and dub-wise jams. They will be joined on stage by the Dub Smugglers sound system and dancehall star Gappy Ranks, currently touring his ‘Pure Badness’ album. Alborosie was the first European / Jamaica artist to win Best Reggae Act at the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Awards. His singles include ‘Kingston Town’ and ‘Rastafari Anthem’. His latest release ‘Living Dread’ is a cover of a Black Uhuru track, a band whose music has appeared on everything from Miami Vice to Grand Theft Auto.
