Ibiza-inspired concept bar, Lazy Lizard, brings mediterranean heat to the city centre this January with a programme of nights featuring some of the White Isle’s best-known names. Ben Pearce (joined by Theo Kottis) leads Renegades, a night of music for the free-thinker on Friday 12 Jan), there’s a massive dance party with Oliver Lang and friends on Thursday (11 Jan), It might be raining outside, but PBR Street Gang and El Diablo’s Social Club are dolling out some good old-fashioned dancing fun with Disco Kid at Future Disco (Sat 13 Jan).

Future Thursday gets Lazy Lizard’s weekend off to an early start with some Ibizan beats to get moving to. Alongside resident DJs Oliver Lang of Bora Bora and Es Paradis’ Steeve Valverde, Future Thursday welcomes Disco Kid, usually found at the Ibizan home of Manchester’s Sankeys. It’s a totally free one too, welcome news after the December’s expense.
Fri 12 Jan: Ben Pearce headlines Renegades January Party with Theo Kottis (Sub Club)
One for the dissidents of dance music, DJ and producer Ben Pearce dedicates a whole night to the eclectic and unexpected. Joining Pearce at the decks is Theo Kottis, former resident at Glasgow’s Sub Club, he has DJ’d alongside Jamie Jones and Seth Troxler and counts Pete Tong as one of his fans. Tickets from £5.
Sat 13 Jan: Future Disco (Pacha) January Party
Pacha residents Future Disco continue their monthly residency at Lazy Lizard with a night that promises to be glamourous, flamboyant and above all, a lot of fun. It’s the Ibiza spirit through Manc eyes, with PBR Streetgang and El Diablo’s Social Club running the night’s grooves. Tickets from £5.
