Stealing Sheep will be performing the first of their double bill of live shows at YES at the end of April, following their slot at this year’s BBC 6 Music Festival in their hometown of Liverpool. Overwhelming demand means fans who missed out on tickets to their Saturday show will get the chance to enjoy their theatrical performances and electro-pop delights on Friday. As a band who cut their teeth with folk, in recent years their output has seen the increasing use of synths with notes of funk that recall ESG, delivering a sound both vibrant and captivating. If the trio’s music is satisfying for your ears, then their live shows will undoubtedly dazzle your eyes. Featuring the use of beguiling choreography, face paints and colourful costumes, this is a gig worth leaving the house for.

Fri 26 Apr, 7pm, YES (pink room), 38 Charles Street, Manchester, M1 7DB. Tel: 0161 273 2725. £11.50, www.seetickets.com
